Support for Debutante Ball

I hope this message finds you in great spirits! I am contacting you to tell you that I have been selected for a wonderful opportunity to participate in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority ( Zeta Mu Omega Chapter ) 2013 “ Timeless Moments” Debutante Ball. The Debutante Ball is an opportunity to introduce young ladies to society and to recognize them for their outstanding accomplishments and scholastic achievements . We solicit the support of our community , schools , churches, families and peers to assist us in Fundraising opportunities to allow us the opportunity to compete for Scholarships and educational assistance awards.  The young lady that raises the most donations will be crowned “Queen of the Ball “  and will receive a Scholarship and recognition in different parades in our county.

Sorry i’ve been away for so long guys! Haven’t forgotten about my wonderful viewers, but I am back this week to help you achieve the hottest look that is sure to catch the eye of your dream cutie! This daring and glamorous look can be achieved simply by altering your accessories to have a more bulky and chunky look.

The gold bulky necklaces and bracelets that were well known “back in the day”, have returned to this modern day and age to bring a funky flare to your pencil skirts, baggy tanks, and even high waist-ed shorts! It gives your look that rougher and fierce edge as well. This look is very popular, especially with celebrities, like Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, and Beyonce.

The bulky, wooden bangles and necklaces are also a very trendy and cute accessory. They give your outfit a tropical feel, and in my opinion, look amazing with maxi dresses and rompers.This particular style looks great when attending outside events such as, cookouts, walks on the beach, etc. and even looks great to wear on nice comfortable dates!

Today's Topic is specifically about accessories, because as women, we simply cannot live without them! They are really what makes your outfit "pop', so to speak, and they show the originality that you put in to get (your ) look. A lot of times we can overdo what we choose to have as our accessories. Simple is always better! Your accessories should do nothing more than accent your look, not take away from it. I am going to express some of the "Dos and Don'ts" on accessories and what may look the best depending on your hairstyle choices and attire.

Of course, we all love putting our hair up sometimes. Maybe a classy ponytail, high bun, or even the trendy new french braids that are becoming very popular! Whatever your choice of updo, the chandelier earring or drop earring are the perfect style to wear with this. These particular styles tend to accent your face very well, and they give your outfit the additional “glam” it may be lacking. They can make even the simplest dress look gorgeous!

Now the absolute best look, when it comes to long, gorgeous, flowing hair, is the classic hoop earring or classic stud. Thick hoops are always a great option, possibly outlined with diamonds, or a cute design. In my opinion, simple and thin hoops give a flimsy and cheap look, especially the really large ones. These should not be worn when trying to achieve a chic and glamorous look. As for studs, these are the most amazing and versatile style of earring! They can be worn with anything and there are so many different styles.

One of the most important things you need to pay close attention to when choosing accessories, is which look will accent your outfit the best. It could be the traditional set of the “necklace & earring” or the more modern look of your choice in bracelets and earrings, whatever you prefer is up to you, but you absolutely should never wear all three together. This is when “overdoing” it comes into play.

Heels, Heels, and More Heels!

Hello my fellow Fashionistas!    

I’m talking to you this week about the latest trends on heels ladies, and which are the most comfortable! We all love to get a little dressed up when going out for a night in the town with the girls or clubbing, maybe even a nice date with the [hubby], but we can never decide what shoes to wear that won't [hinder] us from enjoying our outings. We all love our gorgeous heels for making our legs look good but Christian Louboutin said it best, “high heels are pleasure with pain!”.

In today's blog I'm going to tell you a little about which choices are best when deciding what heels you are going to wear. If you plan on wearing something cute and Chic for a formal gathering that involves a lot of movement, try the Platform Heel. Studies have shown that, because the heel and toe are both elevated, it causes less stress and tension on the arch of your foot! This also goes for the Wedge heel. The Wedge Heel has become a trendy choice of shoe worn by many, because it's style is a great accent to any attire: formal or casual.

To conclude, if you are the type of lady that loves to rock the Stiletto/Pump regardless of the pain here's how you can make your walk a lot easier, try insoles and the split toe socks! These are a great way to give your feet a more comfortable feel while elevated. Slip toe socks will stop your feet from rubbing against the insides of your shoes, saving your feet from horrible blisters! These can be found at any retail stores near you and they come at very low price, but if you are not the heel wearing type, there are always other options for cute shoes you can wear with your outfit.
